COVID-19: ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE not running in 2021
03.12.2020
ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE (ESE) 2021, the Trade Fair for Energy Storage Systems, will not be held as originally scheduled from 16 to 18 March 2021 in Düsseldorf on account of the sustained high infection numbers across all of Europe. Add to this the decision adopted by the federal and state governments on 25 November according to which the holding of trade fairs continues to be prohibited. Explaining the decision Wolfram Diener, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, said: “We have taken this decision due to the current unforeseeable further developments in infections, travel constraints and the legal framework. Our aim is to provide planning safety and prevent our exhibitors from incurring financial losses.”
The next event will be held in line with its usual frequency in spring 2022. Messe Düsseldorf will relay the exact dates after consultation with event partners next year.
“Over the past few months hard work has been done to create an optimal live trade fair experience for our customers considering all safety and hygiene measures. Now the pandemic situation has forced us to re-assess the situation. Up until the follow-up event exhibitors and visitors can stay abreast of trends, industry news and product innovations via the online portal,” adds Wolfram Diener.
