Standardized Battery Packs Pave the Way to E-Mobility
Small and middle-sized vehicle manufacturers face the problem, that vehicle-electrification is cost and time consuming. This often makes small series uneconomical and increases the risks.
1. The manufacturers need to integrate a completely new technology in their design and development process which can take more than 1 year 2. The development and certification of an individual battery solution according to the European guidelines is costly due to the specific safety regulations.
An exemplary battery with 48 V and 10kWh causes correspondingly overall development and certification costs between 250.000 to 500.000 €.
Modern standardized battery solutions show a way out. They can significantly accelerate the electrification of vehicles and lower development costs.
