ABSTRACT:
Hydrogen will play an important role as energy carrier or feedstock in future economies, but today lacks sufficient infrastructure and relevant assets. Synthetic Natural Gas produced by Power-to-Gas can be a bridging technology, reducing CO2 emissions today: by coupling sectors and using existing infrastructure. Recent examples for production and transport of both renewable hydrogen and SNG as well as their usage will be presented, highlighting the requirements for positive business cases.
