ABSTRACT:
The lecture will provide an overview of energy storage-related legal provisions and policy goals of the EU Clean Energy Package and the EU Green Deal. In in-depth analysis the speaker will show what the German legislator will have to modify in German Energy law in order to provide an effective implementation of the new EU standards for national energy storage law. The audience will be informed about what can be expected to change in terms of legal barriers in Germany in 2020 and 2021.
VITA:
Dr. Florian Valentin deals with energy law and the law of renewable energies since 2006 and co-founded the law firm „von Bredow Valentin Herz" in 2012. Dr. Valentin advises on all issues related to renewable energies and energy storage, with a focus on the construction and operation of wind turbines, biogas and PV plants as well as the design and review of all project contracts. Since 2017, he is the speaker of the working group 5 (Legal affairs) inside the Federal Association of Energy Storage.
