Power Generation Units and Power Plant Certification to Prove the Requirements of the German Grid Code
The generation of energy from renewable sources is becoming increasingly important. One consequence of this is that the technical requirements placed on generation systems, such as battery storage systems, with regard to grid stability are increasing. The verification process begins with the measurement and certification of the power generation unit. As a requierement for commissioning, the power plant certificate is issued on this basis by a certification body.
Dipl. Ing. Anne Prost is head of electrical certification (power plant and power generating unit certification) of WindGuard Certification GmbH since 2019. She represents the WindGuard Certification in the FAEE as well as the FGW TR8. She has been working for WindGuard since 2011 and is responsible for project management.
