One of the core functions of modern energy storage systems is to effectively cut peak loads and thus to reduce energy costs in production. They buffer the additional electricity demand generated at peak times, especially in manufacturing and industry. The benefit: a more favourable classification by the energy supplier. In combination with a wind or a solar system, the used electricity is CO2-free and cheaper than electricity from the grid.
In March 2019, Messe Düsseldorf is organizing the ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE trade fair for companies wishing to find out more about the individual benefits of energy storage technologies. On the second day of the fair, on 13 March 2019 at 11:15 am, the company ads-tec GmbH will give a short talk on "Intelligent battery storage systems in industries with power peaks and/or power quality problems" for companies in the metal-processing industry and the individual application possibilities of storage systems. You can attend the presentation of ads-tec GmbH in the ESE Forum in Hall 8b.

Waste-heat utilization by implementing thermal storage
The effective system integration of thermal storage opens up great savings potential for the manufacturing industry: both with regard to the CO2 balance as well as to energy costs. Thermal storage technologies enable the temporally decoupled use of industrial waste heat, and they also offer the possibility of providing thermal energy at various temperature levels through thermally driven heat pumps or chillers.
In March 2019, Messe Düsseldorf is organizing the ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE trade fair for companies wishing to find out more about the individual benefits of energy storage technologies. On the second day of the fair, on 13 March 2019 at 11:30 am, the Bavarian Centre for Applied Energy Research (ZAE Bayern) will give a short talk on "High-temperature heat accumulators for industrial waste heat utilization in a foundry" of the metal-processing industry and the individual application possibilities of accumulators. You can attend the presentation of the ZAE Bayern in the ESE Forum in Hall 8b.

Reduced energy costs and more security for winegrowers & farmers through electricity storage
ProWein and ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE bring together winegrowers, farmers and storage experts
In the past few years, solar systems have been installed on many agricultural buildings; now a new energy technology is making its way into businesses: electricity storage systems. In combination with photovoltaics, they can buffer unused solar power that previously had to be fed into the grid. This electricity is then consumed directly in the plant at any time of the day or night. This reduces energy costs on the one hand and increases supply security on the other, because modern storage systems serve as an emergency power supply in the event of power failures. And, depending on the area of application and design, they open up further advantages for agricultural operations: peak loads arising during cooling processes, compressed air generation or waste water treatment are effectively mitigated or completely avoided by energy storage systems.
At the leading energy storage trade fair ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE, winegrowers and farmers can learn about current energy storage systems and their possible applications. On 13 March at 11:45 a.m., experts from the storage manufacturer TESVOLT will give the lecture "Energy Storage for Farmers and Winegrowers - Applications and Benefits" in the Forum in Hall 8b of Messe Düsseldorf. The lecture is free of charge for visitors.

Batteries for electric boats at Energy Storage Europe 2019
Sport boats and yachts with electric propulsion systems are becoming more popular. The reasons: greater environmental awareness throughout society and stricter environmental regulations. How efficient and safe an electric boat drive is depends not least on the power storage unit, the core element of electrification. But storage systems can also play to their strengths in production: They reduce peak loads and, in combination with solar systems, enable higher self-consumption of electricity generated by the company itself.
From 12 to 14 March 2019, boat and yacht builders can find out more about battery technologies for drives and stationary storage systems for production at ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE in Düsseldorf, the leading international trade fair for the energy storage industry.
On the second day of the fair, 13 March 2019 at 3 p.m., the boatyard Frauscher Boats will report on their experience with electric boats in a short presentation (free-of-charge) in the ESE Forum of Hall 8b.
