Smart Charging meets Local Energy Management System – How intelligent EV charging can reduce grid load and interact with local energy production and consumption?
The number of EVs is increasing rapidly and many enterprises intend to install charging stations at their premises. Often the available power supply is not sufficient to supply all charging points with their rated power simultaneously. Smart charging concepts could tackle this issue and allocate the limited power to all charging points in an intelligent manner. They are also able to interact with local energy management systems to increase customers’ own consumption and autarky.
